Nocturne #7

by Vahni Capildeo

Happy kilometres, happy sunflowers,

Happy Serpentine Road, Flood Street, Dry River,

Happy gang intervention, happy wedding,

Happy Archbishop, happy oyster vendor,

Happy erased tramline, happy hospital,

Happy office block, happy gingerbread work,

Happy baobab, happy pitch oil rag flambeaux,

Happy gecko alleluia, happy song.
